Medical Counter Assistant (MCA)

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Counter Assistant (MCA) to support the daily operations of our pharmacy/healthcare retail service. The ideal candidate will assist customers with over-the-counter (OTC) medications, ensure accurate dispensing under supervision, and maintain high standards of customer service, safety, and hygiene.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers in selecting appropriate over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and healthcare products
• Provide basic guidance on medication usage under a pharmacist’s supervision
• Process sales and operate the pharmacy point-of-sale system
• Maintain accurate records of sales and inventory transactions
• Ensure shelves are well-stocked, organized, and properly labeled
• Receive, check, and store pharmaceutical and healthcare supplies
• Follow pharmacy protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the pharmacy counter and work area
• Report any medication discrepancies, expired products, or stock issues
• Support the pharmacist and other staff in daily operations

🧠 Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a pharmacy, pharmacy shop, or healthcare retail environment (preferred)
• A certificate or training in Medical Counter Assistant (MCA), Pharmacy Assistant, or a related field is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Honest, trustworthy, and professional attitude
• Basic knowledge of common medicines and healthcare products
• Ability to handle cash and operate POS systems
• Proficient in English
