🩺 Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) – Job Description

We are seeking a licensed, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) to join our team at East Legon, Trasacco Road. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing pharmaceutical care, and ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for a passionate pharmacist who values patient safety, accuracy, and community healthcare service.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medicines accurately and responsibly
• Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions
• Provide professional counseling to patients on medication use, dosage, side effects, and storage
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient treatment outcomes
• Supervise and support Medicine Counter Assistants and pharmacy support staff
• Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and record-keeping of all medications
• Monitor inventory levels, oversee stock-taking, and manage expiry control
• Ensure compliance with Pharmacy Council of Ghana regulations and standard operating procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment
• Handle controlled medicines in accordance with regulatory guidelines

🧠 Requirements & Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy () degree from an accredited institution
• Must be licensed and in good standing with the Pharmacy Council of Ghana
• Minimum of 1–2 years’ professional pharmacy experience preferred (fresh graduates may apply)
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and patient counseling
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills are an added advantage
